Dr. Zhao’s primary research interest is the entrepreneurial spirits in emerging technologies (big data and social network analysis, direct digital manufacturing, and online sourcing platforms), and sustainable development in the global textile and apparel supply chain. Her research can be categorized as interdisciplinary with aspects of textile and apparel management, informatics and data science, and business studies.

Muzhen Li is a doctoral student in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri. She is the recipient of Piper Distinguished Doctoral Fellowship. She received her bachelor’s degree from Zhejiang University in Bioengineering. And then she completed her dual Master degrees from University of Missouri in Chemical Engineering and Statistics. Md. Rafiquel Islan Rana
Md. Rafiqul Islam Rana is a doctoral student in the Department of Textile and Apparel Management at the University of Missouri. He completed his master’s degree from the same program where his thesis was focused on the buyer-supplier relationships in the global textile and apparel supply chain setting. His current research areas include global sourcing & supply chain strategies, corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and organizational dynamics within the textile and apparel industries. He obtained a bachelor’s degree in Textile Technology from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology, Bangladesh. Eunmi Lee is a 3rd-year doctoral student whose research interests include fair trade fashion and sustainable and socially responsible fashion industry. She completed her MS degree and graduate certificate course in Socially Responsible and Sustainable Apparel at the University of Delaware. Before starting with graduate studies in the U.S., she has worked in the field of Fair Trade as a general manager and a marketing manager for a public enterprise in South Korea. She can be reached at
